The company produces an extensive portfolio of aluminium forgings with commitments to precision and excellence to ensure the varied requirement of industries for different types. Aluminium 1060 is used because of its excellent corrosion resistance, high formability, and outstanding electrical conductivity, making it a perfect application for lightweight but strong materials. Rashid Metals maintains high-quality standards on all products that it offers and thus is an excellent partner to business houses who seek top-class aluminium forging solutions.
Al 1060 forgings consists of aluminum for about 99.6%. Trace percentages consist of iron (<0.35%), copper (<0.05%), manganese (<0.03%), silicon (<0.25%), zinc (<0.10%), and titanium <0.03%. Its good properties consist of corrosion resistance, high workability, electrical and thermal conductivity, with mechanical properties in terms of tensile strength that lies in between 55 to 90 MPa, yield strength from 40 to 75 MPa, and elongation at between 18-25%. The material has high ductility, good formability, and weldability; it is especially suitable for light-weight applications, with good corrosion resistance, where it is mainly used in the electrical and chemical industries.

Aluminum 1060 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its low strength and relatively low melting point. It is more suited for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and formability.
Aluminum 1060 offers high corrosion resistance, excellent workability, good weldability, and enhanced electrical conductivity, making it ideal for custom forgings in industries requiring lightweight, durable, and malleable components.
The forging process for Aluminium 1060 typically takes several hours, depending on the complexity of the part, with heating, shaping, and cooling stages. Each stage varies based on specifications.
Aluminum 1060 forgings are widely used by various industries demanding exceptional corrosion resistance and the ability to work at high ease in addition to high electrical and thermal conductivity. Some of the most general applications include the manufacture of aerospace, automobile, and electrical industry components like heat exchangers, electrical busbars, or precision parts. It is mainly used in non-structural applications because of its lower strength. Aluminum 1060 forgings are used in food processing equipment, chemical plant components, and decorative items due to their resistance to corrosion in different environments. It is excellent for forming into complex shapes and designs.
