Haynes 625 bar and rod is a nickel-chromium alloy having a very high oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperature. It is made of 58% of nickel, 22-24% chromium, 9-11% molybdenum, 3.15% iron, along with smaller portions of titanium, aluminum, cobalt, and carbon, amongst others. All these help increase the strength of this material, besides resisting oxidation well at higher temperatures. Its tensile strength ranges from about 1030 MPa (150 ksi), with yield strength about 690 MPa (100 ksi) and 35% elongation in 50 mm.
