High-Speed Steel M2 Bars consist of 0.85-1.0% Carbon, 4.0-5.0% Molybdenum, 3.75-4.5% Tungsten, 1.0-1.4% Chromium, 0.3-0.9% Vanadium, and traces of Cobalt and Silicon. This makes M2 steel possess outstanding hardness that can be achieved up to 65 HRC after heat treatment, excellent wear resistance, and toughness at high temperatures. High tungsten and molybdenum content endows the alloy with hardness retention at raised temperatures, along with good wear resistance by vanadium.
