Its expertise and devotion make Rashid a trusted partner for the industry.
Mainly composed of iron (Fe) with high nickel content, typically at 36%, invar bars and rods have low thermal expansion as a result. Composition usually includes 36% nickel (Ni) and balance is iron, whereas traces of carbon (C), manganese (Mn), and silicon (Si) are also present. Mechanical properties include high strength and good dimensional stability at different temperatures. This material has a tensile strength ranging from 550 to 750 MPa, and elongation is 25%. Invar also has excellent fatigue resistance, as well as good machinability, which is ideal for applications requiring precision instruments and temperature-sensitive applications.

Yes, for Invar bar welding, specialized consumables like Invar welding rods, Invar electrodes, or Ni-based filler metals such as ERNi-1 or ERNiCrMo-3 are commonly used to ensure optimal bonding and minimize thermal expansion issues.
Yes, Invar bar and rod can be welded, typically using TIG or MIG welding techniques. However, it requires careful control of heat to avoid distortion due to its low expansion properties.
Invar rods, primarily composed of iron and nickel, are generally resistant to galvanic corrosion. However, when paired with more reactive metals, they may experience corrosion if exposed to electrolyte solutions.
Invar bar and rods are a type of alloy of iron and nickel, widely used for applications requiring minimum thermal expansion. The reason for it is due to the uniqueness of its property, having a very low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). It is ideal in the application of precision instruments such as clocks, watches, and measuring devices. This element is also widely applied in aerospace and electronics as the components would require maintaining absolute dimensions in oscillating temperatures: it is part of satellites, lasers, and structural elements for various scientific instruments. Besides, in manufacturing molds and tools, under changing temperatures dimensional stability will be required; Invar satisfies such requirements well.
