What is Nimonic Bars and Rods?

High-performance nickel-based alloys Nimonic bars and rods and contain about 50-70% of nickel with chromium (14-22%), cobalt (2-20%), titanium (2.8-3.5%), and aluminum (1.5-2.5%). Small amounts of carbon, iron, and molybdenum are added to improve the strength and oxidation resistance. The mechanical properties comprise tensile strengths up to 1300 MPa, creep resistance at high temperatures that can reach up to 1000°C and corrosion resistance that’s good. It has mechanical integrity under extreme conditions, making it ideal for aerospace, gas turbines, and other high-temperature applications.
